That was a bit of a wind walking today. The roads are icy so take your time driving. The City has removed some of the garbage cans from their locations so please act like adults and take your bags to the nearest bin.

Hello Alberta Clipper! It looks like the storm for the most part went right around the city. Hwy. 1 is closed from Falcon Lake all the way to Thunder Bay.
Farmers Rd. is pretty chewed up so be careful driving. The trails and parking lot are very muddy. Stay to the trees and it is not bad for walking.

With all the goings on at the park it is nice to just walk and look at the leaves that are turning. I found a good sized wasp nest along the Main trail. I got stung yesterday on the palm of my hand. Be careful around the garbage and recycling cans. They are very active this time of year.

Sorry that the solar eclipse was a bit of a bust here today but we really did need the rain. The trails are not muddy at all. The fall colours are starting and the geese are getting into bigger groups. This sure has to be one of the best summers that I can remember.

We had a good down pour on Friday and then the sun came back! The Raspberries are all over the place this year. Lot's of wild plums but not nearly ready. The trails are all in great shape. Enjoy, how many summer have we had were we couldn't even walk the interior trails!

We have lost a lot of the surface water over the last couple of days. Still pretty muddy on the trails but getting there. Sage and I were lucky today to spot a "Watcher in the Woods' near the club house this afternoon. I think it is a Horned Owl but I couldn't get real close.

The LMP river is flowing again! All the melt water that is located in the brush exits the park through the open field beside Players Golf Course. The Big Field is all open and drying quickly. Guess who had to go for a splash.

That was a good storm last night and this morning! The City missed the nasty part of it. There were a few tree limbs down on the trails but not to bad damage wise. The plowed trails are very dangerous to walk on so stay to the sides of them or take the off-trails to get around. Also the Tree line trail is blown in.

It's this weather incredible! The groomed trails are iced up a bit and the snow covered ones are soft. So please be careful. The roads in however are a real treat to say the least! People have been parking in the North lot again. As far as I know Farmers Rd. is still closed. Please be aware that with the pipe construction the road could subside. It still needs to be firmed up after the spring thaw.

The non-plowed Trails however are very soft to walk on and the plowed Trails are very icy. So be careful walking out there! The fog was great this morning!
