This is a public event.
Dr. Hill has over thirty-five (35) years experience providing research, writing, technical and analytical services for First Nations, government, academia and non-governmental organizations in the field of natural resources, environmental and lands management. Gain an appreciation of the Ininiw (Cree) Worldview and how such an appreciation might contribute to moving forward to reconciliation. Join us for a unique opportunity to learn about the traditional Cree perspective on the world and spirituality.
Dr. Stewart Hill was born and raised in northern Manitoba at God’s Lake First Nation. He received a doctorate from the Natural Resources Institute of the University of Manitoba in 2021 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in natural resources and environmental management.
The Ininiw people, commonly referred to collectively as “Cree” in Canada, have a unique worldview. In this presentation, the framework of the Ininiw Worldview is outlined and the components of it are described in a systematic fashion to give the listener a comprehension of what the Worldview entails and how it might differ from their own worldview.
